Violet Rose
This is a sweet range. The rhassoul
based facial cleansers are really
delicate and soothing. Sweet Love
Cleansing Scrub & Mask includes
cornmeal, oats, violets, and herbs.
Scrubby, while still being really mild.
Classic Cleansing Grains and Mask
includes clay, roses, and
marshmallow, for another soothing
treat. This one smells mildly of
lavender. Each of these is packaged
with a dear little seashell for
scooping.
The Cedarwood Ylang Cream has an
oddly pleasing fragrance. Very woody,
yet sweet. I like to keep this by the
kitchen sink for its relaxing
fragrance, easy spreadability, and
effective moisturization. I’d be more
than happy to tell you what’s in it,
but alas, some water drops got on
the label, and~ ack! A runny mess! I
could make out that there’s
grapeseed oil in it. I keep asking
these girls for waterproof labels, and
this is a fine example of why!
Anyhoo, it’s a dandy cream.
The Spring Beauty Wildflower Cream
is delicate and leaves no greasy
residue, just softness. I’d like to
share the ingredients with you, but
alas~ the label again! I can make out
apricot kernel oil, but that’s all! Has
a pleasant, light floral scent.
This range is very understated and
sincerely herbal. Treat yourself to
some why don’tcha?:)

With Bells On Or Every Time A Bell
Rings Or Jingle All The Way
Jennifer Caine is an architect on
sabbatical~ and boy am I glad she
is! This girl makes amazing stuff!!!
Smells and Bells is yet another find
that yours truly ferreted out on
Etsy. How can you not dig a product
that has a wee little bell on it that
jingles every time you pick it up?
Some Angels Grumble~ I cannot stop
sniffing myself~ this perfumes
rocks! Vanilla-y warm and spicy, but
not in your run of the mill food-y
way. Must have.
Rosary Solid Perfume~ I got Aussie
sandal in this one. Smells & bells
does their Rosary perfume, a riff on
rose and frankincense, two different
ways: in a solid, and a liquid. I of
course, prefer the solid. In a base of
jojoba, cocoa butter, and beeswax, it
smells rounder and rosier than the
liquid, with a definite (Aussie?)
sandalwood base that comes up and
says hi. This can be used as a
wonderfully fragranced moisturizer.
The liquid, which is alcohol based, is
a dryer, powderier version.
Make like the Magdelene and slather
your tootsies with Smells & Bells’
Spikenard Balm~ a really pleasing,
sweet combo of spikenard,
sandalwood, and fir needle. Lovely
smooth texture, and the emerald
green color is just great to gaze on.
Raspberry and Rosehip Face Nectar
such a nice blend of rosewood and
tangerine~ try this for sure! So
pleasant and uplifting~ I did fourple
duty with this one, using it as a bath
oil, hair oil, even as a really light
perfume.
Abramelin Soap is another winner.
Great lather, gentle, and smells
wonderfully warm, soft, and spicy.
All of Smells and Bells products that
I tried were really vibrational and
lovely~ obviously made with care and
intent. Ring a ding ding!
